Conference Forms

Conference forms were sent home today on hot pink paper. I will be scheduling them in the order that I receive them. Please let me know if you are trying to schedule more than one conference.

Grade cards will be sent home on Friday. Students can earn 50 Star bucks by returning the signed envelope on Monday. They earn 25 if it is returned on Tuesday.

I'd like to thank everyone for helping make our Autumn Poetry Cafe a huge
success! I'm so proud of our class! They did a fantastic job at reading their poems in front of a lot of people. Some of the color poems had some challenging words and our practice and hard work paid off!

Why is Water Important?

We made another fun flip book about water. We have some amazing artists in our class!

Communities Big and Small

We've been studying how communities are different. We made flip books to show urban, suburban and rural communities. They turned out great! Look at the details!

Bar Graphs

We've been busy graphing!

Students need to be able to:

make a bar graph from a blank sheet of paper
fill in a graph like we did in class
write statements about a graph (3rd grade statements that require adding/subtracting)
identify true or false statements about a graph

Autumn Poetry Cafe RSVPs and Refreshments

On Monday:

RSVPs are due
Refreshment sign ups
Confirmation of refreshments will be sent home.

We'd like to have the items by Thursday.

We are expecting at least 50 people (including students and staff). That's very exciting! If you'd like to share a poem, let us know!
